As part of the 19th Annual F. Scott Fitzgerald
Literary Festival taking place October 10, local writers are encouraged to
enter the Short Story contest for a chance to win $500. The winner will have
the opportunity to speak briefly at the Festival and their story will be
published in the Festival program.
Residents of Maryland, Virginia,
and Washington, D.C. are eligible to enter the contest. Stories must be fewer
than 4,000 words and unpublished. There are no restrictions on the subject
matter.
Submissions must be postmarked by
Friday, August 14. There is a fee of $25 per entry.
